Sportsman Plow Pricing: Know What's Fair

An ATV plow is a totally different animal from the UTV setups most people picture, and on a Polaris Sportsman it is also a much smaller price tag. We stock four complete Sportsman plow kits between $447.99 and $589.99, so none of them crosses the $600 mark. Every kit relies on a separate winch for lifting, which on an ATV means a smaller unit than the side-by-side winches you may have priced before.

Sportsman Plow Blade Widths and Materials

ATV blades trade width for maneuverability. Kolpin’s SwitchBlade sets up at either 48 or 60 inches and clears 43.5 or 54.3 at full angle. KFI’s 50-inch Flex Poly weighs only 25 lb assembled and rolls snow to the side for long paths. Black Boar sets its blade at 0, 7.5, 22.5 or 30 degrees in either direction, and Denali pairs its blade with skid feet you can adjust for both height and angle. The four compared:

• Kolpin SwitchBlade: one pressed-steel blade, two working widths
• Denali Standard Series: 50 or 60 inches with a 17-inch scoop
• Black Boar: a 48 by 20-inch straight blade on quick pins

Starting prices appear below. Blade width and the options picked on each listing set the final cost, and Denali’s 60-inch version runs $479.99 against $449.99 for the 50. Freight applies to two kits: $34.99 on the SwitchBlade and $49.99 on the Black Boar.

ATV Winch Sizing and Plow Accessories

ATV plow winches are rated lower than UTV units. KFI’s page offers 2,000, 2,500 and 3,000 lb choices. Its Sportsman winch mount tucks below the radiator in the factory location and works with Polaris brush guards and double-tube bumpers. KFI also lists it as compatible with the Polaris Glacier plow. Denali adds a pulley fairlead for standard 3 by 4.875-inch spools right on its kit page, and KFI sells a steel-wheel pulley paired with a short soft strap. Both reduce wear where the winch line turns toward the plow.

Fitting a Plow to a Polaris Sportsman

Mount Styles on an ATV

KFI’s Sportsman kit uses a center frame mount matched to the 400, 450, 500, 570, 800 and ETX, and its push tubes lift 40 to 50 percent higher than competing mid-mounts. The SwitchBlade clamps on underneath with U-bolts, and the Black Boar bracket fits yoke-shaped frames while staying out of the way when the blade is off. KFI notes some drilling on the 2026 Sportsman Touring 570 Utility, the 2025-2026 X2 570 and the Big Boss 6x6.

Big Tires, Brush Guards and Tracks

Oversized tires or a front brush guard can crowd the blade, and KFI’s 5.4-inch push tube extension clears them. For tracks, its extension bracket offers two settings, 14.0 or 15.33 inches of added reach.

Ordering an ATV Plow Before Winter

Plow shipments slow from November through January. Placing your order in early fall leaves room to bolt everything on and try the angle settings before the first storm. Several of these listings have install PDFs ready to download.

The most common warranty is between 3-6 months, but Everything Polaris Sportsman does offer extended 1- and 2-year warranties on all products if that is something you are interested in — you can add the extended warranty right at checkout.
